About us:
We have traveled to Costa Rica for many years and now live there part-time. It is a great place to visit and enjoy all that is available. After retirement from JPL we have more time to enjoy our trips to Costa Rica, especially the area around Manuel Antonio Park. This area provides many ways to see nature in different forms, the mangroves and the canals next to the condominiums, the many beaches, the rain forest, the many parks, and the palm and rice plantations. This is why we chose to buy our units at Pueblo Real. Yes, things have changed as more people discover Costa Rica and more development takes place, but there are still many wonderful things to see and do. You can read the information about Costa Rica, its friendly people, the diversity of wildlife and fauna, the many things you can do here. Come and enjoy yourself, relax and you will see why we keep coming back.
The area around the Condominium:
The units are located at Pueblo Real, in the town of Damas, which is surrounded by mangroves, criss-crossed with channels where you can see wildlife, including monkeys in their natural state. Along with the wildlife there is an incredible diversity of plants and trees. The complex has a large swimming pool, tennis court, volleyball court, and lots of green areas and places to walk.
There are three restaurants within walking distance, local food and American food at the one located on the property. If you want something more formal, you can go into Quepos or Manuel Antonio and find many great places overlooking the ocean. Our favorite is the Anaconda, at the Costa Verde resort. The front desk can help you with recommendations or feel free to email us before you go and get some recommendations. The weather depends on the season but it is warm and does rain during the rainy season. Normally even the rain holds off until after the noon siesta. Sunscreen is always good because even on an overcast day, you can get sunburned, insect repellent is recommended. One especially nice tour which leaves right next to Pueblo Real is the "Chino" monkey tour. Ask at the front desk or go to the dock next door and ask for Chino or Diego, both speak great English.
